Job summary

Harrow School seeks an Assistant Librarian to support cataloguing, lending, reader assistance and stock management. You will help with displays and promote reading by guiding pupils and ensuring books are well-organised in a calm learning space.

The role requires library experience and a library qualification is desirable. Part-time, term-time, with a rota that includes Thursday and Friday shifts and occasional Saturdays and evenings during exams.

Qualifications

• Previous library experience is essential.
• Experience with collection management software is desirable.
• Flexibility to perform varied library duties within education settings.

Responsibilities

• Catalogue new books and manage loan/return of stock.
• Assist with readers' enquiries and use the library management IT system.
• Maintain displays and ensure stock is well-organised and accessible.
