Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking a Cleaning & Hygiene Operative to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across school buildings in Wales. The role covers classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas, with a typical pattern of Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week.

You will handle cleaning equipment safely, follow health and safety procedures, report issues to the supervisor, and contribute to a safe learning environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out general cleaning duties in commercial or institutional settings.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Knowledge of sanitising and disinfecting surfaces.
• Experience cleaning toilets, classrooms and communal areas.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
• Sweep, mop and wash floors; vacuum carpets; dust and wipe surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise toilets and sanitary facilities.
• Empty bins and manage waste; report hazards to supervisor.
