Job summary

Avanti Gardens School in Bristol seeks an experienced Senior Premises Officer for a part-time role (20 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 6:00pm. You will lead premises, cleaning and caretaking staff, coordinate contractors and ensure a safe, well-maintained site for students and staff.

You will manage day-to-day operations, support budgets and procure essential services while working closely with the Principal and area managers to meet daily operational needs and health & safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a facilities management role within an educational setting.
• Experience leading a team including cleaners and caretakers.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, security and safety of the school site.
• Lead and support premises, cleaning and caretaking staff, and contractors.
• Plan and monitor maintenance schedules, repairs and improvements.
• Support facilities budgets, procurement and capital projects.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on health & safety and lettings.
