Job summary

Kingdom Cleaning is seeking a Working Cleaning Supervisor for Richmond School in North Yorkshire. This permanent, hands-on role leads a small cleaning team while performing cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety for pupils, staff and visitors. Working Monday to Friday, 15:30–18:30 (15 hours/week).

Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce is essential before employment. Salary is £13.21 per hour with opportunities for training and progression within the Kingdom

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning supervisory experience essential.
• Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
• High attention to detail and commitment to standards.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
• Previous experience within a school or educational environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a small on-site cleaning team
• Scheduling team members and arranging cover for holidays and approved absences
• Ensuring all classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard
• Dusting, sanitising, and cleaning surfaces and touchpoints throughout the site
• Emptying waste bins and maintaining hygienic waste disposal areas
• Cleaning and maintaining washrooms and welfare facilities
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and safe working practices
• Maintaining accurate records and completing daily, weekly, and monthly reportsReordering cleaning consumables and monitoring stock levels
• Ensuring colour-coding procedures are followed by all team members
• Supporting the wider facilities and cleaning teams when required
• Promoting a safe, clean, and secure environment across the school
