Job summary

West Rise Primary School in Eastbourne is seeking an enthusiastic cleaner for a part-time role. The position offers 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3:15pm–5:45pm during term time with the possibility to compress hours during holidays subject to agreement.

The post is permanent with a Grade 3 Scale Point 7 (£25,614 per annum pro rata). The package includes 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, plus opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Hardworking and committed to high cleaning standards.
• Familiar with Health & Safety policy for cleaning staff.
• Disqualification regulations apply; the successful candidate will complete a pre-employment self-declaration.

Responsibilities

• Clean areas of the establishment in accordance with the Building Cleaning Specification as directed.
• Operate cleaning machinery in accordance with instructions.
• Dilute and use cleaning materials as instructed.
• Collect and remove waste/rubbish from work area to a collection point as directed.
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment as instructed.
• Observe and comply with the Health & Safety Policy and code of practice for cleaning staff.
• Comply with instructions relating to security and confidentiality.
