Job summary

Rosehill Methodist Primary Academy is seeking a proactive Caretaker/Maintenance to ensure a safe, well-maintained school environment. The role covers minor repairs, site security, regular safety checks, and coordination with the Admin & Ops Lead. It is a permanent post, 15 hours per week, with possible extra hours for emergencies.

Start date September 2026. Year-round work, with holidays taken in school breaks.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and basic repair tasks.
• Ability to carry out minor plumbing/joinery work when needed.
• Proactive approach to safety, security, and site checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance of buildings and site.
• Arrange and monitor emergency repairs with Admin & Ops Lead.
• Ensure site security and safeguard premises during and after hours.
• Oversee cleaners, stock monitoring, and waste disposal as required.
• Support annual deep cleaning and general portage duties.
