Job summary

ContinU Plus Academy invites applications for a part-time driver to operate a range of school and contract vehicles, including minibuses and cars, on routes scheduled daily. The role includes transporting service users, deliveries and occasional towing, with a focus on safety and punctuality.

Duties cover vehicle checks, defect reporting, cleaning, configuring passenger vehicles, complying with Driver Hours rules, and providing cover for other drivers as needed. 15 hours weekly; NJC Scale 3.

Responsibilities

• Drive allocated vehicle on specified route to the time schedule, safely and diligently.
• Record daily checks, report defects, and perform minor vehicle maintenance.
• Keep vehicle exterior clean and interior tidy.
• Prepare passenger vehicles with correct seats, child seats, harnesses, clamps and equipment.
• Drive in compliance with road traffic regulations and Driver Hours rules.
• Ensure passengers are transported safely and with due care.
• Provide cover for other Drivers as required.
• Assist in route planning as required.
