Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a temporary Breakfast club catering assistant for Ysgol Cynddelw, with a 5-hour weekly commitment. You will handle basic breakfast preparation and serve pupils, working in the school kitchen and maintaining a clean serving area.

The council encourages bilingual applicants (English and Welsh). An Enhanced DBS is required, with duties including safe storage of foods and allergen awareness while supporting breakfast club activities.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS is required.
• Ability to work in a bilingual English/Welsh environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items (cereals, toast and fruit) and serve breakfasts to pupils.
• General kitchen duties including cleaning down serving counter and washing up.
• Clean the kitchen, equipment and surroundings after breakfast service.
• Store breakfast foods safely and manage allergens.
