Job Description

The role involves providing excellent service to guests, interacting with them both on the phone and in person in a professional, positive, and gracious manner as a representative of SMI. The position oversees the flow of the dining room floor and lobby.

Responsibilities include:

1. Anticipate guest expectations.
2. Answer the phone with proper etiquette.
3. Accurately take, record, and confirm restaurant reservations according to guidelines.
4. Communicate clearly and concisely with team members regarding guest needs.
5. Escort guests to tables and assist with coats and drinks.
6. Maintain a presence at the host stand to interact with arriving and departing guests.
7. Be familiar with all aspects of Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, including events and services.
8. Assist in cleaning, clearing, and setting tables.
9. Serve from the cheese cart and maintain extensive knowledge of cheeses.
10. Maintain knowledge of the menu; ensure menus are accurate and clean.
11. Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and lobby areas.

This position primarily involves morning shifts.

Hourly Rate: $20.50

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Successful completion of bartending training is required.
