Job summary

New Forest School is seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) on a part-time basis to join the Clinical Services Team across multiple specialist school sites. You will support students with SEMH needs, collaborate with a SALTA, and contribute to EHCP processes and CPD opportunities.

The role suits an experienced Band 5 SaLT committed to trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches and delivering meaningful outcomes in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
• Full driving licence and access to a car; travel between school sites.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, communication and interaction needs using standardised and non-standardised tools.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised SaLT intervention plans.
• Deliver direct and indirect interventions (1:1, small group, class-based).
• Provide communication-focused input to support emotional regulation, social interaction and learning.
• Write clear, functional reports to inform EHCPs and annual reviews.
