Job summary

IVC Evidensia at Hillman Vets Cannock is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a part-time basis. The role is based primarily at Cannock, a busy one-vet practice with a varied caseload.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care across first-opinion cases, run nurse clinics, support preventative care and client interactions while helping maintain clinical standards. The position offers 20 hours per week with specific weekday and Saturday duties.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
• Run nurse clinics, including health checks, second vaccinations, weight checks, microchipping and wellness screenings.
• Support preventative healthcare, including nail clips and anal gland expression.
• Assist with clinical procedures and patient care throughout the day.
