Job summary

The Courtyard Surgery (West Lavington, Devizes) is seeking a Lead Practice Nurse and Independent Prescriber for a part-time role in a rural primary care setting. You will lead the nursing service, deliver long-term condition management, immunisations and travel health, and reduce GP workload through autonomous practice.

You will work with an experienced multidisciplinary team, maintain clinical governance, and shape future services while enjoying a balanced lifestyle in the Wiltshire countryside.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in General Practice/Primary Care.
• Experience leading nursing teams and clinics.
• Independent prescribing within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse-led clinics for chronic conditions and immunisations.
• Undertake annual reviews and care planning.
• Prescribe independently within scope of practice.
• Lead vaccination programmes for children and travel health.
• Supervise nursing team and support staff; drive QOF and governance initiatives.
