Job summary

Farmfoods in Bolsover is seeking a part‑time Retail Supervisor to lead a busy shop across weekend and weekday shifts. You’ll support the manager, open/close the store, handle cash, and develop a small team of retail assistants while ensuring excellent customer service and store standards.

With 24 hours per week at £13.61 per hour, the role includes 6 weeks holiday, a 15% staff discount, life assurance, pension, and a benefits package. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
• People skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, as a key member of the team.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager in retail or a similar industry (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager within the management team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop the team of retail assistants
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste, and payroll
