We are seeking
a Research Assistant to join The Oxford Psychological Interventions for Children and Adolescents (TOPIC) research group to work on a feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of a brief online parent-led Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) intervention for children aged 5 to 12 years old with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis, with a minimum of 2 days/week on-site.
The position is funded from 1 September 2025 to 15 June 2027, based in the Department of Experimental Psychology, Anna Watts Building, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Oxford. It is a part-time role (80% FTE). Responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day running of the feasibility RCT, administrative tasks, recruitment activities, liaising with clinical teams, and conducting qualitative and clinical diagnostic interviews with parents and children regarding online treatment and trial participation.
You should have an undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in psychology, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working with families and/or children affected by mental health issues, and ability to liaise with clinical staff and study team members, is essential. Familiarity with child anxiety and OCD treatment and measurement, and experience conducting assessments or treatments with affected children and families, would be advantageous.
