Job: Part-Time Receptionist
Salary: £23,809 FTE (pro rata for part-time, 15 hours per week)

Verus Recruitment is supporting an innovative 3D scanning company in their search for a Receptionist to join the team working on the Sapiens Project, an exciting initiative capturing diverse facial data to improve AI and digital media.

Based in a busy, public-facing retail venue in the heart of Sheffield city centre, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes visitors to this exciting, tech-driven project.

This is a hands-on, customer-focused role with part-time hours across two full days each week, which is ideal if you're looking for something customer centric and a bit different.

Enjoy balance and flexibility – This is a part-time role working 15 hours per week over 2 full days (exact days to be confirmed), with a 1-hour lunch break.

Grow your confidence and skills – From dealing with the public to managing bookings and learning about tech, this role offers variety and development.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome visitors warmly and explain the Sapiens Project in a clear and engaging way.
• Assist with both walk-ins and pre-booked appointments.
• Manage check-ins and appointment schedules.
• Verify IDs and ensure participants meet the 18+ requirement.
• Keep the reception area tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with project materials.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in a public-facing role (reception, retail, hospitality or similar).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive and professional attitude.
• Willingness to learn and explain basic information about 3D scanning and technology.
• An interest in gaming or digital media would be a bonus.
