Job description

Job Description: Receptionist at St Brycedale Surgery

Hours: 20 Hours Per Week, 4 hours daily (Flexibility essential during our opening hours of 8am-6pm and a requirement to work one extended hours shift until 6:45pm on a rotational basis).

St Brycedale Surgery is a four-partner GP Practice located centrally in the beautiful Kingdom of Fife, with easy access to Edinburgh, Perth, and St Andrews. We are situated in an east coast town just a 10-minute walk from the beach.

Our ethos is to provide the best possible primary care services to our patients in an efficient, friendly, and sympathetic manner. We are seeking a friendly, professional, and approachable individual to join our reception team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working with the public, and thrive in a busy, challenging environment.

The candidate must be flexible to cover staff absences, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Primary Duties:
  • Reception and administrative tasks to ensure smooth practice operations
  • Signposting patients, assisting with appointments, prescription requests, and general inquiries
  • Effective communication with the multidisciplinary team

Experience with GP clinical systems and previous public-facing roles are essential. A medical background is preferred but not required.
