Part-Time Receptionist

We are delighted to be recruiting for a fantastic new opportunity for a part-time receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, so a calm, approachable, and can-do attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for Reception, ensuring the environment projects the best possible image to all visitors.
• Acting as the ‘front-of-house’ to all visitors, providing a friendly welcome, whilst ensuring procedures are followed.
• Overseeing pupil afternoon registration.
• Liaising with parents, students, and teachers.
• Overseeing the signing out of pupils.
• Ensuring telephone calls are answered promptly and messages forwarded.

Part-Time Receptionist Experience Essentials

The ideal candidate will be warm, caring, and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in the welfare of children and a strong commitment to safeguarding. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of discretion, and the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure. Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential, along with resilience, reliability, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. Previous education experience is desirable but not essential. A good telephone manner, excellent written and spoken English are also key.
