An established industry player is seeking a dedicated SENDCO to lead Special Education Needs provision. This role involves ensuring compliance with legal requirements, providing professional guidance to teaching staff, and collaborating with various professionals to enhance student outcomes. The SENDCO will ensure that Special Education Needs (SEN) provision is effectively and efficiently managed, meeting all legal and statutory requirements for students needing SEN.
The SENDCO will take on the day-to-day responsibility within the Education Team to provide professional guidance on SEN to teaching staff, maintaining and increasing high standards of teaching, making good use of resources to improve standards, and achieving positive outcomes for students.
Responsibilities include reviewing, attending, and leading EHCP reviews for pupils, liaising with class teachers to ensure up-to-date information is collected and collated, and coordinating with multi-agency professionals, Assistant SENDCo, and Assistant Head of Inclusion to update and share outcomes with staff and external professionals.
