Job Description

Trial Balance Consulting has been exclusively engaged by a well-established not-for-profit organization to recruit two part-time Ledger Clerks for their accounting team, reporting to the Finance Manager. The roles are based in Redruth with flexible hybrid working options, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance.

The successful candidates will work with a Sage-based accounting platform and will be responsible for:

  • Purchase Ledger (PLC): Managing accounts payable, processing supplier invoices, payment runs, and creating supplier accounts.
  • Sales Ledger (SLC): Managing accounts receivable, creating customer invoices, allocating payments, and monitoring aged debt.

Both roles involve acting as the first point of contact for supplier and customer queries. Candidates should have previous experience with general ledgers, either qualified by experience or through AAT qualifications. Experience with Sage is desirable; however, candidates familiar with Xero or QuickBooks can be trained for Sage. Strong communication skills are essential as part of a small, friendly team.
