Job Description:

Part-Time Purchase Ledger Specialist

Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a sharp eye for accuracy and a solid understanding of accounting principles? Do you thrive in a focused role where precision and ownership truly matter?

We’re working with a design-led, well-established manufacturer to find a Part-Time Purchase Ledger Administrator who can take control of a critical function within a growing business. This is a specialist role that goes far beyond basic invoice entry—you’ll be a vital part of ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.

What’s in it for you:

  • 15 hours per week (Ideally 5 hours/day on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 9am–2pm)
  • A niche role with real responsibility—perfect for someone who values doing things properly
  • Work with a supportive team in a design-led, high-end product environment
  • Gain hands-on exposure to currency, stock-related invoices, journals, and accruals

As Purchase Ledger Administrator, you will:

  • Input purchase invoices into the system, matching them against delivery notes and checking pricing accuracy
  • Ensure goods have been booked in correctly before approving invoices for payment
  • Handle both service-based (simple) and inventory-based (complex) invoices
  • Manage currency-based invoices with confidence
  • Prepare month-end accrual and prepayment schedules, and process relevant journals
  • Understand the wider accounting impact of your work, not just the data entry

You’ll need:

  • A solid background in purchase ledger or accounts administration—ideally with AAT qualification
  • A clear understanding of how accounting works, including journals, contras, accruals, and prepayments
  • Experience working with inventory or stock in a finance context
  • A meticulous, detail-oriented approach with the ability to spot and prevent errors
  • A conscientious attitude and appreciation for how your accuracy impacts the wider business

If you’re looking for a part-time role where your skills are truly valued, and you want to work in a business that cares about getting the details right—apply now with your CV. Alexandra from Rubicon will be in touch.
