Job description

Our fantastic client, based in Castle Donington, are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for a range of general Group Purchase Ledger and Finance Department duties.


Salary: £26,000 FTE (pro rata for part time)
Type: Permanent role.
Hours: 16 hours per week across 4 days.


Purchase Ledger Clerk - The Role:
  1. Invoice posting and matching to POs - Circa 400 per month
  2. Processing and controlling payment runs
  3. Supplier statement reconciliations
  4. Handling Purchase Ledger Queries
  5. Ensuring effective controls are in place regarding new supplier set ups, and authorisation of invoices
  6. Responsible for all Supplier portals, ensuring invoices are downloaded and issued
  7. Ensuring any creditor debit balance reviews and issues are resolved monthly

Purchase Ledger Clerk - The Candidate:
  1. Experience in a similar finance role.
  2. Experience of using accounting systems.
  3. Excel skills.
  4. Used to dealing with and achieving tight deadlines.
  5. Effective time management.
  6. A friendly team player.
  7. Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
