Job summary

Homes for Students is recruiting a part-time Caretaker for Holli Wharf in Bath, 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri). You will perform maintenance tasks across multiple trades and support a high-quality customer experience for residents and property users.

Role requires hands-on maintenance skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently as part of a small team. Benefits include holiday entitlement and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance within a similar environment or skilled across multiple trades.
• Awareness of health and safety issues and legal requirements.
• Excellent customer care skills with clear progress updates.
• Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines without close supervision.
• Proactive, able to use initiative to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• General duties include painting, unblocking drains, fixing taps, changing lightbulbs, and litter picking around the perimeter.
• Drive a high-quality customer experience by ensuring rapid and quality response to reported faults and property condition.
