Position: Part-Time Primary Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to join a primary school in Barnet. Whether you’re an experienced teaching assistant or looking to start your career in education, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting teachers in the classroom, helping to create a positive and effective learning environment for students. This role involves working with students across various subjects and age groups, providing additional support to individuals and small groups, and assisting with classroom management. The position is part-time, offering flexibility to work around your schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students who may need additional help
  • Assist with classroom management and student behaviour
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) when required
  • Foster a safe and positive learning environment

Key Requirements:

  • Any experience working with children (ideally in a primary school setting, but not essential) - can include babysitting, tutoring, care work
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A proactive and flexible attitude
  • An understanding of the primary curriculum is desirable, but not essential
  • A DBS check or willingness to obtain one
