Job summary

Equals One is a part-time practice located in Worksop, inviting an experienced accountant to join a close-knit team. The role focuses on managing client portfolios, handling personal and corporate tax work, and delivering high-quality statutory and management accounts.

Office-based, 20–25 hours per week, with a supportive environment and genuine value placed on staff and clients. You will work across modern software and liaise with HMRC, benefiting from study support and an employer pension

Qualifications

• Solid practice experience in accountancy.
• Ability to manage a client portfolio from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax.
• Excellent client relationship skills and communication.
• Experience with modern accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a varied portfolio of clients.
• Prepare and review personal and corporate tax computations and returns.
• Advise on personal and corporate tax matters with clients.
• Prepare statutory and management accounts to a high standard.
• Foster strong client relationships through regular contact.
• Use TaxCalc, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Word and Excel in daily work.
• Liaise with HMRC and other bodies on behalf of clients.
• Stay updated on tax legislation and accounting standards.
• Work collaboratively within the team.

Part Time Practice Accountant

Join a thriving accountancy practice in Worksop

Are you an accountant looking for your next step with a firm that genuinely values its people and its clients? We're looking for someone who loves building relationships as much as they love getting the numbers right. You could be qualified, studying, part qualified or qualified by experience.

Location: Worksop (office based) Hours: 20-25 hours a week Contract: Part-time, permanent Reports to: Practice Owner Salary: £45,000 Pro Rata

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing and developing your own varied portfolio of clients across the industrial, transport and farming sectors
• Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax computations and returns
• Giving clients clear, timely advice on personal and corporate tax matters
• Preparing statutory and management accounts to a high standard
• Building strong, lasting client relationships through regular contact and meetings
• Getting hands-on with TaxCalc, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Word and Excel
• Liaising with HMRC and other bodies on behalf of clients
• Staying sharp on the latest tax legislation, accounting standards, and best practice
• Working as part of a team - no formal line management required
