Job summary

1000scholars is seeking a highly motivated experimental postdoctoral research associate to contribute to a BBSRC funded project on farm practices, coinfection and immunity of in-lay flocks and its relation to egg production and quality.

You should hold or be close to completing a PhD with a life sciences focus; a BSc in veterinary, animal or biological sciences, epidemiology or statistics, and demonstrated experience in data management and analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in data collection and management.
• Experience with statistical/epidemiological analysis.
• Interest in food-producing animals and factors affecting performance.
• Experience analyzing immunological data (e.g. ELISA).
• Experience organizing complex datasets.
• Experience supervising postgraduate students.
• Experience following ethics protocols.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data collection, management and analysis for the project.
• Support and supervise postgraduate students as required.
• Ensure compliance with ethics protocols and approvals.
• Coordinate project activities and timelines with the team.
• Assist with reporting and preparation of publications.
