Job summary

Barnardo's Include Me 2 Service in Lancashire/Blackpool area is hiring Play Workers on a part-time basis. You will join a friendly team, contributing to planning and delivering play sessions for children aged 4–18 with SEND/DISABILITIES, providing respite and positive activities across locations.

The role requires teamwork, effective communication with children and safeguarding awareness, with a weekend day each week and additional hours in afterschool sessions and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and young people.
• Understanding safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning sessions and activities.
• Deliver and record group sessions.
• Facilitate activities and days out.
• Ensure sessions run smoothly and safeguarding policies are followed.
• Provide a safe, fun and inclusive environment for all service users.
