Job summary

Victim Support in Hampshire seeks a Play Therapist (part-time) to support children affected by crime. Based at Chandlers Ford with a dedicated playroom, occasional sessions at other Hampshire venues may occur.

You will assess suitability for play therapy, deliver interventions in line with PTUK/BAPT guidelines, and report outcomes with recommendations. Driving license and access to a vehicle are essential due to travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Accredited Play Therapist qualification from BAPT or PTUK.
• Experience working with children in a play therapy environment.
• Experience using monitoring tools to record outcomes of play therapy.
• Strong time-management and communication skills; proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Assess the suitability of children and young people for play therapy.
• Provide therapeutic interventions in line with PTUK or BAPT guidelines.
• Create reports evidencing the support provided and give recommendations.
