Priory Hospital Dewsbury in West Yorkshire is seeking a Physical Healthcare Nurse to join a small team on a 21-hour per week, part-time basis. You will lead on physical healthcare, develop care plans and provide clinical advice, working within a residential setting that supports men with mental health needs and physical health requirements.

Qualificações

• RGN with active NMC registration and completed preceptorship.
• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience.
• Strong knowledge of physical healthcare and ability to assess, plan and evaluate patient care.
• Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead on physical healthcare, ensuring patients receive appropriate assessments, care plans and ongoing support.
• Provide clinical advice and training to nursing staff on diabetes, hypertension, COPD, wound care and physical observations.
• Lead Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) audits, reporting and outbreak management across the site.
• Deliver physical healthcare interventions including ECGs, phlebotomy, wound care and health screening.
• Liaise with GPs and primary care services to coordinate patients' ongoing physical healthcare needs.
• Support health promotion, smoking cessation and public health initiatives across the hospital.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure equipment and clinical areas meet required standards.
