Abbeywell Surgery is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join our two-site team at Nightingale and Abbey Mead. You will venepuncture, label and prepare specimens, and record results in patient notes, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

The role requires IT proficiency to manage your own clinic and maintain documentation. You may also undertake domiciliary sample collection as needed, supporting GP practices across sites.

Formación

• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).
• Qualified in phlebotomy.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own car.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Understand policies on equality, information governance, data protection and confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venepuncture and label/prepare samples for collection.
• Process and manage laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses.
• Request pathology tests as required.
• Record accurate clinical notes in patient records after each sample.
• Work within your scope of practice and refer to nurses or GP when needed.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with colleagues and patients.
• Chaperoning duties as required.
