Disability North in Haxby (York) is seeking a Personal Assistant/Carer for a part-time role to support a 34-year-old man with a spinal injury at home. You will join a team of carers to assist with personal care, meals, social activities and light domestic tasks in a fully adapted home.

Shifts are rota-based mornings and some evenings; the role requires reliability, discretion and a UK driving licence is preferable.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of working in health and social care would be ideal but not essential.
• Be flexible, reliable and punctual.
• Respectful of confidentiality when it comes to the individual’s private care needs and circumstances.
• Be able to work on their own initiative.
• A full UK driving licence would be preferable.

Aufgaben

• Look after a friendly 34-year-old man with a spinal injury in his family home (fully adapted).
• Help with day-to-day activities such as personal care, preparing food/drinks, going out on social activities, light domestic duties and attending medical appointments.
• Hours organized on a rota basis to cover mornings and some evenings; hours are flexible with mutual agreement.
