Job summary

GSL Education Hull Branch is recruiting a creative, enthusiastic Teacher of Performing Arts to inspire pupils in a supportive secondary school in Hull. The role is part-time and runs during term time, delivering engaging arts education that blends practical performance with theory.

You will plan and deliver lessons that develop creativity, confidence, and collaborative skills, differentiate for abilities, and assess progress. QTS or equivalent is required, with recent DBS update.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong Performing Arts knowledge and secondary school experience.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students through creative, practical learning.
• Passionate, adaptable, and student-focused approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons that meet curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
• Develop students' performance, creativity, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Provide practical opportunities for students to explore performance techniques and creative ideas.
• Differentiate teaching and activities to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive, and purposeful learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
