Overview

Portfolio Payroll is collaborating with a well-established accountancy practice based in Knowsley looking to recruit a Part-time Payroll and Accounts Admin on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a respected organisation who is rewarding and supportive.

Responsibilities
  • Payroll Duties
    • Process end-to-end monthly payroll for employees (including starters, leavers, and adjustments)
    • Ensure accurate calculations of PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, pensions, and other statutory payments
    • Liaise with HMRC and pension providers for compliance and reporting
    • Prepare and submit RTI submissions and P45/P60/P11D forms
    • Maintain employee payroll records and respond to payroll-related queries
  • Accounts Support
    • Assist with purchase and sales ledger processing
    • Perform bank reconciliations and process payments
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries
    • Assist with VAT returns and other ad-hoc finance duties
Desirable skills and attributes
  • Previous experience in client payroll and accounts (Bureau/ Practice) environment
  • Confident Communicator
  • Good eye for detail, and can work with precision
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
