Part Time Paramedic (Urgent Response Vehicle) Gatwick

This role is based primarily in our Gatwick office, offering 26.5 hours per week with a salary of £32,412 per annum (FTE £48,925), working from 8 am to 5 pm.

Role Overview: As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of individuals in custody within a court setting. You will diagnose, intervene, maintain records, and provide clinical guidance. Experience within a prison secure environment is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to CQC and local policies, working within HCPC standards.
  2. Apply critical analysis to complex information, providing accurate advice and medication guidance.
  3. Keep detailed, accurate records of consultations and clinical decisions.
  4. Support clinical decision-making with appropriate information sources.
  5. Provide health education and refer to other healthcare providers as needed.
  6. Maintain accountability for clinical decisions and escalate issues appropriately.
  7. Remain focused and professional in a challenging environment.

Requirements:

  • Current HCPC registration as a Paramedic with no investigations or suspensions.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in primary and secondary care, ideally within a secure environment.
  • Basic IT skills, fluent English, full driving license, and own transport.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and within a team.
