Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced paediatric Dietitian to join our busy Community Nutrition & Dietetics Service in Barnsley on a part-time permanent basis. The role covers paediatric conditions such as cows milk protein allergy, selective eating, nutrition support and gastroenterology.

The post involves line management of a small team, training dietetic students, and delivering clinics across Barnsley with some group work and home visits.

Qualifications

• Excellent team working, communication, organisation and time management skills.
• Commitment to CPD.
• Must have a driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload requiring complex dietetic intervention with highly specialised clinical reasoning.
• Provide dietetic assessment and intervention for a range of paediatric conditions.
• Work as an integral part of the dietetics team and MDT to develop patient‑centred care plans.
• Support training of student dietitians and participate in service development.
• Deliver service flexibly, including clinics, group work and home visits where required.
