Job summary

Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust in the West of England is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy support worker to assist service users in a secure inpatient setting, focusing on meaningful activities and recovery.

You will work under qualified OT supervision, gain experience in running group and 1:1 sessions, and participate in induction, supervision, and ongoing training within a supportive MDT.

Qualifications

• Experience running groups or 1:1 sessions with mental health service users.
• Ability to engage, motivate and support individuals in activities.
• Willingness to work under supervision within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 1:1 or group sessions under supervision of occupational therapists.
• Provide activity-based support to help service users develop life skills.
• Participate in induction, supervision and ongoing training within the team.
