The role involves supporting daily terminal operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in the handling of fuel products, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Qualifications

  • Experience working in environments such as Manufacturing/Fuel/Chemical.
  • Exposure to COMAH site environments (Upper or Lower Tier) is desirable but not a requirement.
  • Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH) are desirable but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out product storage and handling tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate operational records.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of standard operating procedures.
  • Perform trained roles within the Operations team.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across the terminal.
  • Liaise with contractors and relevant external bodies as required.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to support smooth terminal operations.

Part Time Operator –6 Month FTC
Location:Backford, Cheshire
Salary:£22,000 - £24,000
Shift pattern is 4 shifts on (2 days 2 nights – 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am) 16 shifts off

Outsource UK is seeking an Operator to join the Operations team at our client’s fuel storage terminal in Backford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the efficient and safe movement of fuel products while working within a high-compliance environment.

Role PurposeThe Operator will support day-to-day terminal operations, ensuring road tankers are processed safely and efficiently while maintaining full compliance with operational, environmental, and safety regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations:

  • Carry out product storage and handling tasks safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate operational records
  • Contribute to the creation and review of standard operating procedures
