Job summary

Kindred Nurseries in Northampton is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse) for 28.5 hours per week to deliver high-quality care and education. You will support the Room Leader, plan engaging activities, and observe children's progress while maintaining a safe, home-from-home environment.

The role requires a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, solid EYFS understanding, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is required/essential.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and how it guides daily practice.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children's learning.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a supportive team to provide exceptional care and education for every child.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play.
• Support the Room Leader in delivering high standards of Early Years care and education.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity and development.
• Observe and record children's learning and achievements to support individual journeys.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers through our Satchel app, face-to-face conversations and written observations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure Kindred's policies are followed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children's wellbeing at all times.
