Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Level 2 Nursery Assistant for 57-59 Bath Road Nursery. The role involves caring for children aged 6 months to reception, planning activities, and maintaining development records in line with EYFS.

The Trust promotes flexible working and excellent learning opportunities. Shifts vary across 7.30am–6pm, with weekend and bank holiday restrictions.

Qualifications

• Level 3 nursery qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards is desirable.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for a group of children, providing daily care, activities, and completing developmental reviews.
• You will support children from 6 months to reception age, ensuring high standards of care and learning in a safe, stimulating environment.
• You will support and inspire children to become independent, creative, and confident individuals and plan engaging activities.
• Maintaining development records and reporting to the Team Leader at agreed intervals.
• Demonstrating good practice with regards to inclusion and working with SENCO as appropriate.
• Carrying out related responsibilities as a key carer and building relationships with families.
• Collaborating with Early Years and other professionals to improve childcare quality.
