Job summary

GVC, on behalf of a well-equipped 24‑hour veterinary hospital in Dorset, seeks a Night Veterinary Surgeon for a part-time role. You'll work sole charge overnight with RVN support, handling emergency and critical care with a varied caseload.

Ideal candidates are MRCVS with at least 3 years UK small animal experience, confident in independent decision-making, and looking for excellent work-life balance and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Minimum of 3 years UK small animal experience.
• Confident working independently in a sole charge environment.
• Previous emergency and critical care experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sole charge overnight in a 24-hour hospital.
• Manage a varied emergency and inpatient caseload.
• Collaborate with RVNs and a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide high-quality clinical care with sound decision-making.
