Job summary

sjb medical is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our care home team in a part-time nights role. You will deliver person-centred nursing care, maintain dignity, and uphold high professional standards within a supportive MDT.

With current NMC registration (RGN or RMN) and strong clinical skills, you will plan and review care, administer medications safely, and contribute to audits and quality improvement. We offer training and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
• Current NMC registration.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing care practices.
• Experience in care planning and medication administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents.
• Deliver and oversee high-quality nursing and personal care.
• Ensure residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
• Administer medications safely and in line with NMC standards and organisational policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and documentation.
• Lead and support care staff during shifts, promoting best practice at all times.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and contribute to audits and quality improvement activities.
• Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
• Support the induction, supervision, and development of care staff.
