University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust operates the UEL Transport team based at Southampton General Hospital. A part-time driver is needed to move staff and supplies, with shifts between 0600 and 2030, and a total of 15 hours per week.

You must hold a full driving licence with ≤3 points, be able to drive a 17-seater minibus (D1) and vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. Driver CPC and manual handling training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence - with no more than 3 points.
• Able to drive a 17 seater minibus on a D1 Licence.
• Previous driving experience and knowledge of Southampton.
• Ability to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonne.
• Driver CPC desirable or to complete within 6 months.
• Manual handling training desirable.

Responsabilités

• Undertake all transport duties as directed by the Head Driver, including staff transport to and from work, mail and parcels, and shipment of bloods, pharmacy, linen, specimens, equipment and food.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects, ensuring compliance with Road Traffic Act requirements.
• Perform duties in a helpful, courteous manner and maintain professional appearance.
