Job summary

NHS Shetland Board is seeking a motivated domestic services assistant to join the team on a part-time basis, working Monday to Friday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. The role is Band 2 with a salary range of £26,696 to £28,988 per annum (pro-rata) plus a Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum (pro-rata).

You will support patient care by distributing beverages, changing water jugs, washing dishes, and wiping down bed areas.

Qualifications

• Flexible, committed and have a positive attitude to work.
• Previous experience desirable; full training provided.
• Applicants should have a good level of basic education and good communication skills.
• PVG Scheme relevant details to be completed prior to offer.

Responsibilities

• Distribute beverages to patients.
• Change water jugs.
• Collect in and wash patient dishes.
• Wipe down patient bed area.
