Job summary

NHS Shetland’s Domestic Services Department is seeking a motivated Domestic Support Worker on a part-time basis (10 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 4.30pm-6.30pm). The role is band 2 with a pro-rata salary of £26,696–£28,988 per annum plus a distant island allowance of £2,578 pro-rata.

Training will be provided; you will join a supportive team ensuring clean and safe hospital environments for service users and colleagues. Weekend rates and enhanced hours apply.

Qualifications

• Flexible, committed and have a positive attitude.
• Good level of basic education and good communication skills.
• Desirable to have a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Distribute beverages to patients.
• Change water jugs.
• Collect in and wash patient dishes.
• Wipe down patient bed area.
• Confident to follow training and Induction standards.
