About the family

This lovely family based in Brighton, East Sussex, is seeking a Part‑time Nanny to care for their baby and school‑aged child. The role involves all general nanny duties. A driver would be a bonus. The family is very flexible with the nanny’s working days and hours and is simply looking for some extra support during the week. A valid first‑aid qualification is essential for this position.

Working hours: 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm with additional ad hoc baby‑sitting (flexible on hours).

Duties

• Providing full care for the children, including school pick‑ups, after‑school clubs, homework support, and evening routines.
• Engaging the children in creative, educational, and age‑appropriate activities.
• Managing all child‑related housekeeping, including bedrooms, play areas, and laundry.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the home, including floor care, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, laundry, and dishwashing.
• Preparing healthy meals and assisting with general meal preparation.
• Feeding the family cat as required.
• Carrying out all duties relating to the children, including school pick‑ups (the eldest may take the bus home, with flexibility required for after‑school clubs).

This lovely family is looking to hire as soon as possible, but happy to wait until January.
