Job summary

Ver tas is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team in the Buxton area. This part-time role is 18.5 hours per week with shifts between 7am–7pm, Monday to Friday.

You will perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks, with training provided. You will need an Enhanced DBS and a full clean UK driving license to deliver high-quality service across the Vertas group.

Qualifications

• Great customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in similar caretaking/maintenance settings.
• Willingness to adhere to Health and Safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems work properly.
• Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
• Cleaning during office closed hours; use of cleaning machines as required.
• PAT testing experience desirable.
• Basic maintenance skills including painting and notices.
