Job summary

Bede's Trust is seeking a Minibus Driver to join our Transport Team at the Prep School in Eastbourne. You will transport pupils to and from school according to the timetable and routes, and to sporting fixtures and trips.

You will supervise pupil safety and behaviour on and around vehicles, and drive in accordance with current legislation and school policies. A Category D1 licence and a recent eye test are required. This is a permanent, part-time role (22.5 hours/week), term-time only.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Category D1 driving licence and a recent eye test (within 3 months).
• Excellent written and spoken communication; confident, polite and organised.
• Ability to supervise pupils and ensure safety on vehicles in line with policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport pupils to and from school according to timetable.
• Transport pupils to sporting fixtures, airports, activities and trips.
• Supervise, maintain safety and behaviour of pupils on and around vehicles.
• Drive in compliance with current legislation and school policies.
