Job description

Part-Time Milker

Location of the Job:

County Durham.

Salary & Benefits Package:

This role is paid by hourly rate between £12 - £16 per hour, depending on experience.

Additional Information:

  • This is a part-time position.

  • Hours are:

4.30am to 8.30am, 2pm - 5.30pm. Every other Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

There are more jobs available should you wish to work during the middle of the day too.

About The Company:

A part-time Milker is now required to join a 5 strong farm team looking after 500 organic dairy cows on an award-winning unit.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:

  • Milking cows as part of a team of 5.

  • Feeding cows with the feeder wagon.

  • Scraping out.

  • Bedding down.

  • Calf feeding.

  • Cubicle preparation while cows are milking.

  • General farm work duties as and when required.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…

  • Experience working on a dairy farm.

  • Experience with milking and feeding cows and calves.

  • Living within 30 miles commute of the farm.
