Job summary

Windermere House, operated by Nouvita Healthcare Ltd, is a residential home in Luton supporting men living with mental health needs. We’re looking for a caring, resilient Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis to help residents build independence, confidence and stability in daily life.

You will work alongside a dedicated team to provide person-centred support, encourage positive routines and help residents work towards personal goals, including cooking, budgeting and personal

Qualifications

• Must have a caring, patient and non-judgemental approach.
• Good written records and clear communication.
• Minimum 1 year support experience with mental health is preferred.
• Able to work 12.5-hour shifts, including weekends/bank holidays.
• Physically able to perform role requirements including breakaway techniques.
• Willing to complete all mandatory training including breakaway training.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support aligned with care plans.
• Help residents develop living skills (cooking, budgeting, personal care).
• Encourage participation in education, work and community activities.
• Support residents with medication per Nouvita policies.
• Maintain accurate daily notes, incident reports and risk assessments.
• Participate in handovers, meetings and ongoing training.
