Job summary

Hopwood Hall is seeking a dedicated Lecturer to teach Maths across Access to HE programmes. This maternity-cover, 0.5 position, will deliver engaging sessions and support learners to achieve their goals.

You will plan, prepare and assess learning activities, promoting literacy, numeracy and digital capability while contributing to curriculum planning and improving attendance and progression. Middleton location.

Qualifications

• Must be suitably qualified and experienced in the relevant subject area.
• Possess a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
• Demonstrate comprehensive subject knowledge and understanding of current educational initiatives.
• Show a creative and innovative approach to developing teaching materials.
• Intermediate IT skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
• Desirable familiarity with learner management systems, student record systems, VLEs and e-learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across full-time and part-time programmes.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning activities.
• Promote literacy, numeracy and digital capability.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and support delivery of basic and key skills.
