About the Role:

The Part Time role as Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery and facilities throughout Chapco. The technician will troubleshoot issues, conduct routine inspections, and implement preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime. Additionally, they will collaborate with other team members to address complex maintenance challenges and improve overall service delivery. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for both employees and customers. This role could have a set PT schedule or flexible PT schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Keeping detailed records of work performed, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered within the maintenance software program.
  • Diagnosing and repairing problems with equipment, building systems, including some plumbing and electrical.
  • Ordering and managing necessary supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaborating with other team members, contractors, and facility staff to ensure efficient operation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with other employees in a pleasant manner.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong mechanical ability.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and system issues.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends when needed.
  • Mobility, including the ability to climb ladders and fit into tight spaces.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
  • Experience with drywall installation and repair.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
